Sharing your home with a “terrible teen” can be really tough. Welcoming a new rescue dog can be rewarding but, let’s be honest, it can be demanding at times.

When you dog apparently forgets everything they’ve learnt, that can be frustrating. It might be hard, but you want to invest in a better relationship. Who doesn’t want that?!

These adult group classes are suitable for any age of dog over 18 weeks of age. Focusing on both basic behaviours and additional life skills, in a fun and relaxed environment.

They are perfect if you want to invest in your connection with your dog, help them to build confidence and develop calm and polite manners.

Led by Rachel Gales, as both a Trainer (IMDT) and an educated Behaviourist, these classes will teach your dog how to navigate their life stage, boost their confidence and enrich your relationship.

“By using modern day training methods, she helped me, make my dog’s life better.”

“From day one I realised Rue was behaving differently to any other dog I had owned, but I continued to train him using the same methods I had been taught 20 years ago. Desperate and feeling a complete failure, I asked for help.

At my appointment, Rachel observed my interactions with Rue in our home environment and then walking outside of our area. Any nerves I had quickly disappeared as Rachel made me feel at ease by highlighting what Rue was communicating to me through his behaviour. It was quite a revaluation!

Rachel’s knowledge is incredible. By using modern day training methods, she helped me, make my dog’s life better. My only regret is that I didn’t get in touch sooner!”

Frequently Asked Questions

To get booked on the next course (early booking is recommended!) get in touch by clicking the button below.

  • If your dog is less than 18 weeks old and this will be their first group class, I would recommend looking at the tailored Puppy Classes as these may be more suitable. However, if you’ve already completed our puppy course (or another one) please contact us to enquire about your dog attending the adult classes.

  • I have a real soft spot for rescue dogs! Since 2019 I have volunteered with the dogs at Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare, live alongside a rescue dog and have fostered a number of rescues. You can be confident that I will apply the knowledge and experience that I have acquired since then (alongside my qualifications and accreditations) to support both you and your dog. Rescuing a dog is such a privilege -it is a real passion of mine that you are provided with the skills and support to deal with any hurdles you may encounter.

  • If you’re not sure whether your dog would cope in a group class, please contact us with the details and we can provide advice on whether a group class might be suitable or whether a one to one training session (or behaviour consultation) would be more helpful for you and your dog.

  • Positive, force free training methods are used. These methods are supported by the most up to date research on dog behaviour.

  • Yes! However, If the weather is exceptionally bad (e.g., storm, torrential rain, heatwave) then the class will be cancelled, and the course will simply be extended by a week. You will be notified of any cancellations as soon as possible and no later than one hour before the class start time. If the weather changes during the class, a decision will be made as to whether to continue or not.

  • Please contact us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a class. Unfortunately, replacement classes or refunds are not available but, at the beginning of the following class, there will be a recap of the training from the previous week and you will be guided and supported through that during the session (so you won’t miss out!).

  • Any age of dog is welcome over 5 months old. Dogs are never too old to learn!

  • Some dogs just don’t learn well in a class environment and that isn’t a problem. If your dog shows signs of anxiety or uncertainty during the classes, they will be given the time, space and support they require. If your dog really doesn’t do well in a class setting you will be offered a full refund for the remainder of the class or offered discount one to one training sessions.
